USF Student Entrepreneur Encourages others to begin living the life they want without the sacrifice.
At 24, Jaziz Zola is inspiring other students to travel the world without giving up their career goals to do it. Zola’s passport saw four continents last year and plans on keeping the same momentum for 2025 while being a full-time student and business owner.
“It’s hard but you can do it”, said Jaziz Zola, Senior at the University of South Florida.
One look at her vibrant Instagram feed, and it’s clear that three day weekends aren’t wasted. When there’s space in her class schedule, she takes another trip.
However, traveling carries more significance than uploading another Pinterest-worthy carousel. After a solo trip to the Philippines in 2023, she found a new perspective. Seeing residents find joy throughout their circumstances, Zola was encouraged to become intentional about her days off. Traveling has been a healing journey for the young entrepreneur, and she hopes to inspire others to make their dreams happen.
Relocating to Tampa from California, Zola serves as a reminder to bloom where you’re planted. Unable to transfer out of state business credits, the esthetician took the opportunity to enroll as an Integrated Public Relations and Advertising major at the Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communications. Her time at USF has allowed her to network with like-minded individuals and promote her lash business, Beauty by Jaziz.
“You can be ambitious and still have fun. You don’t have to sacrifice yourself for corporate America.”, said Zola.
Outside of her business, Zola also works at the USF Undergraduate studies as a social media coordinator. In the future Zola wants to spend time investing in her family and using her social media to serve as a testimony of her faith.
